Black Series Jango Fett
Jango Fett is a renowned Mandalorian bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe, widely regarded as the best mercenary of his era. Born in 66 BBY on Concord Dawn, he was raised within Mandalorian culture as a foundling and trained by the Mandalorian warrior Jaster Mereel. Jango gained fame for his combat skills, equipped with distinctive blue-accented Mandalorian armor and an array of advanced weaponry including dual blaster pistols, retractable wrist blades, a jetpack with a rocket launcher, and various gadgets. He piloted the infamous starship Slave I.
In Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Jango was hired by Count Dooku to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala, subcontracting the task to the shapeshifter Zam Wesell before personally confronting Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi on Kamino and Geonosis. He was the genetic template for the Republic’s clone army and the father (via an unaltered clone) of Boba Fett, whom he raised as his son. Jango was ultimately killed in battle by Jedi Master Mace Windu during the Battle of Geonosis, but his legacy lived on through the clones and Boba Fett’s rise as a legendary bounty hunter.
Jango Fett’s story intertwines Mandalorian warrior traditions, elite bounty hunting, and a pivotal role in galactic events during the prequel era, making him an iconic and influential figure within Star Wars lore.
