Rogue: Born Anna Marie, Rogue is a mutant with the ability to absorb memories, powers, and even life force through skin-to-skin contact. Initially a member of the villainous Brotherhood of Evil Mutants after being adopted by Mystique, Rogue permanently absorbed Ms. Marvel’s (Carol Danvers) powers, gaining super strength and flight. Haunted by the inability to touch others safely, she sought redemption and joined the X-Men, becoming one of their most prominent leaders. Over time, Rogue learned to control her abilities and has served with both the X-Men and the Avengers.

Shanna the She-Devil: Shanna O’Hara, known as Shanna the She-Devil, is a skilled jungle adventurer and protector of the Savage Land. A prehistoric, hidden continent in Antarctica. Raised by a veterinarian father, she became an Olympic level athlete and later a wildlife veterinarian. After a personal tragedy and a stint as an adventurer in various jungles, Shanna found a home in the Savage Land, where she defends its people and creatures. She is often depicted as the wife and partner of Ka-Zar, the lord of the Savage Land, and is known for her fierce combat skills, compassion for animals, and connection to the land.

Sauron (Karl Lykos): Dr. Karl Lykos is a brilliant hypnotherapist whose accidental infection with mutant pteranodon DNA turned him into Sauron, a human-pterosaur hybrid with the ability to drain life energy (sometimes mutant powers) from others in order to survive. As Sauron, he can fly, hypnotize, and exhibits superhuman strength. Lykos—conflicted between his human and monstrous sides is a frequent antagonist in the Savage Land, often clashing with the X-Men and the land’s defenders. His name is inspired by the villain from The Lord of the Rings.
