Deadpool (Wade Wilson)
Deadpool, real name Wade Wilson, is one of Marvel’s most unconventional and recognizable antiheroes. A disfigured Canadian mercenary, Wade first appeared in New Mutants #98 in 1990. Trained as a soldier and assassin, he is infamous for his wisecracks, fourth-wall-breaking humor, and a nearly unmatched healing factor.

Origin: After developing terminal cancer, Wade underwent an experimental procedure with the Weapon X program, which granted him rapid regenerative abilities but left him mentally unstable and physically scarred.
